Analysis / testing of raw materials, preparations and rubber compounds

To guarantee or improve the quality of rubber products, it is necessary to continually check the characteristics of the raw materials, preparations and rubber compounds put to use. This especially applies to the new development of both products and applications on a rubber basis. We will provide support with our extensive testing possibilities during the realisation of these goals. The following testing/analysis systems are available for this purpose:

Development / testing of corrosion prevention, lining and coating materials

The protection against wear and corrosion through environmental influences and aggressive substances is one of the most important aspects for maintaining industrial equipment and its value. It is thereby essential that the correct coating system and procedure is selected. Various types of rubber coatings and coatings on the basis of various types of resins are put to use. We will support you with the new development of suitable materials to help meet the increasing demands of technical facilities. In addition to this we examine coating samples taken from facilities still in use, this is to check whether the material still protects against corrosion.

Development / testing of composites made up of rubber compounds, synthetics, ceramics and metals

The most important aspect of corrosion and wear protection is the long lasting and stable connection between the material to be protected and the protective coating. To achieve this, systems made up of various combinations of materials are put to use; as a speciality, for example, ceramic and rubber composites. We will supply you with support during the development and testing of such complex systems.

Development / testing of adhesives and rubber-solutions

Adhesives play a leading role in the field of high performance coatings and tyre repair systems. The challenge is to be able to find the appropriate adhesive system for each combination of coating/repair and substrate and if necessary adapt or provide new developments. During the process various polymer systems are put to use.

Tyre technology

Tyres keep the industry mobile. To maintain this mobility and to save costs, it makes sense that a faulty tyre is not always replaced as a matter of principle.
